TADEJ POGACAR – UAE Team Emirates
Leader of the UCI world ranking and winner of the 2020 and 2021 editions of the Tour de France, this stage race specialist who has won several prestigious events will be participating in the GPCQM for the first time.
WOUT VAN AERT – Jumbo-Visma
Second in the UCI world rankings, this new face at the GPCQM, past Belgian champion and holder of the green jersey (sprinter) at the 2022 Tour de France, is a classics winner. Among his achievements include is a silver medal at the 2021 Olympic road race in Japan.
MICHAEL MATTHEWS – Team Bikeexchange-Jayco
In his 5th participation, after 2 podiums in Québec City, the Australian puncheur won in 2018 the 2nd double in the history of the GPCQM. He recaptured the victory in 2019, by winning the GP de Québec.
GREG VAN AVERMAET – AG2R Citroën Team
A regular at the GPCQM, where he has competed 8 times, he has achieved 6 podium finishes in Québec City and 3 in Montréal, where he stood on the top step of the podium in 2019, as well as in 2016 as the reigning Olympic champion.
PETER SAGAN – TotalEnergies
He won his first race in Montréal in 2013, crossing the line with his famous wheelie. Wearing the World Champion’s rainbow jersey, he won Québec City in 2016 and 2017, recording his 100th career victory that year. He has competed in six editions of the Grand Prix Cyclistes, earning the same number of top-3 finishes.
HUGO HOULE – Israel-Premier Tech
Best Canadian in the Québec City event in 2019, the holder of a stage win in the 109th edition of the Tour de France will take part in his 8th edition of the GPCQM. Originally from Sainte-Perpétue, Hugo Houle is the first Québecer to win a stage at the Tour de France.
GUILLAUME BOIVIN – Israel-Premier Tech
The outgoing Canadian champion, who was the best Canadian on three occasions in Québec City and once in Montréal, put in an exemplary performance in the breakaway at Paris-Roubaix in 2021, earning him a 9th place finish. This will be the Montréal native’s 9th participation in the GPCQM.
ANTOINE DUCHESNE – Groupama-FDJ
Best Canadian at the Montréal race in 2017, this rider from Saguenay, Québec, has been on the WorldTour circuit since 2014, with 5 seasons with the Groupama – FDJ professional team.
