Québec mayor’s message

“Demanding and exceptional!” – this is how the experts of the International Cycling Union (UCI) describe the course of the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec. To the racers, such a course signals that their vacation is over, as they will have to push their personal limits to the utmost to win the highest awards of the competition. 

Once again this year, Québec City has the immense privilege of hosting one of only two prestigious UCI WorldTour events being held in North America. It is with great pride that I invite all fans of international sports events to join with me in applauding and encouraging the world cycling elite.

To the racers and those accompanying them, as well as their admirers, I wish you a very cordial welcome among us!
